There are six ICA membership categories as explained here below. You can apply to any of the categories shown if you meet the set eligibility requirements as shown here:

Student Member Student For those taking ICA proficiency/ membership examinations. Membership Application fees, and Annual Membership fees must be fully paid up. Ksh. 2,000
Bronze Member Associate Passed proficiency/ membership examinations, having the minimum qualification for ICA membership. Membership Application fees, and Annual Membership fees must be fully paid up. Ksh. 6,500
Silver Member Full Member Must have been an Associate Member for at least 3 years, fully paid up, and with at least 35 CPD points from ICA approved seminars/workshops; or At least A bachelor’s degree, with at least 5 years of relevant administrative management experience in sizeable organization/ institution, with a pass in ICA’s Silver Category proficiency test. Ksh. 8,500
Gold Member Fellow Must have been an Associate Member for at least 2 years, fully paid up, and with at least 35 CPD points from ICA approved seminars/workshops, and must be at a position of responsibility over resources in their station of work; or A certified Member of ICA, and/or has contributed significantly to ICA and the Administrative Management Profession as may be approved by the ICA council Ksh. 12,500
Platinum Member Fellow Must be an ICA certified Member, and must have been a Gold member for a period not less than 3 years. Entry to this level is by election at the ICA council. Ksh. 15,500

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION AS A MEMBER OF THE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED ADMINISTRATORS

To be admitted as a member of the Institute, a person must fill in an online application form and pay the necessary application fees. The following are the minimum requirements for membership:

Affiliate Membership

  1. Proof of completion of studies at certificate, diploma or degree level, which must be attached during application, and this may be in the form of a recommendation letter from a recognized institution of higher learning. Please click here to download the recommendation form.
  2. Within three months after successful application for membership, the applicant is expected to attend the Institutes Two-day Entry Course which is held four times in every year (quarterly). The course and tuition details shall be communicated to the applicant within fourteen days after the successful application. After passing the Entry Course, the applicant will be issued with a membership certificate. Members of this category will not benefit from the use of ICA’s credentials.

Honorary Fellow Membership

  1. A minimum of Master’s degree in any field with at least Five years of work experience, publicly recognized achievements in public or private administrative practices, and must have been a principal administrator of an organization. The applicant may not necessarily have been an associate or a full member. Honorary Fellow Membership shall only on invitation by the Institute, or through an application by an interested individual.   2. A proof of work experience must be attached during application, and this may be in the form of a recommendation letter, or a letter of employment. Please click here to download the recommendation form.
  3. Within three months after successful application for membership, the applicant is expected to attend the Institutes Two-day Entry Course which is held four times in every year (quarterly). Associate Membership

A minimum of bachelor’s degree in any field with at least three years of work experience as the principal administrator of an organization, or a section of it; or, the applicant must have been an associate member for at least three years, and have a bachelor’s degree in any field.
