History And Background
As the principal institute for administrative management in Kenya, a fundamental object for which the institute is established is the promotion and advancement of the efficient administration of commerce, industry and public affairs by the continued development of the study and practice of administration of organizations.
Operational
On 5th August 1999, the Institute of Certified Administrators of Kenya Act, Cap 534 became operational.
Maiden Report
The working party made its maiden report to the Attorney General in June 2000, where the enactment of the legal framework on the certified professional administrators’ profession was recommended.
Mandate
The Institute of Certified Administrators (K) serves as a professional body for administrators across the private and public sectors, commerce, and industry. Established under the Administrators Act, Cap 531 of the Laws of Kenya, in May 2018, KASNEB was mandated to examine Certified Administrators.
